The Boring Company’s San Antonio Loop negotiations are inching forward

The Boring Company is currently engaging with San Antonio leaders to explore and potentially pursue an underground transportation tunnel system. Similar to the Las Vegas Convention Center Loop, the San Antonio project could utilize a fleet of Teslas.  The talks come about a month after The Boring Company was identified by the Alamo Regional Mobility Authority (RMA) as one of the best options for public transportation in the city. Alamo Regional Mobility Authority Chair Mike Lynd believes that the Boring Company’s transportation tunnels are feasible. Lynd also noted that the tunnels could provide benefits to the area.  “I think it’s very real. I think this is something that has a chance to be a game-changer for San Antonio. This is a project that fixes congestion, increases mobility, and produces a revenue stream. Tesla service manuals are now free, diagnostic software gets price increase

Tesla’s service manuals are now free. Meanwhile, Telsa increased the price of its diagnostic software.  In August 2021, Tesla quietly released a set of service subscriptions to help owners work on their vehicles. It paved the way for Tesla owners to repair their cars.  Tesla offers two service subscriptions. The first subscription is the Service and Repair Information Package, which now has an annual price of $0.00 listed on Tesla’s website. The Service and Repair Information Package gives owners access to manuals, tooling catalogs, wiring diagrams, and other pertinent documents.  When Tesla debuted its service subscriptions, the Service and Repair Information Package started at $31.88 per hour. The subscription offered prices for daily, monthly, and annual use. Daily access to the package used to cost $106.25, and monthly access was $371.88 last year. Tesla Model Y welcomed by Kansas PD, expected to give cost savings – Elon Musk - Elon Musk

In a recent press release, the Leawood Police Department in Kansas announced that it had acquired a Tesla Model Y Long Range for its fleet. The vehicle would be used as one of the Leawood PD’s patrol cars. The Model Y has already been painted in the Leawood PD’s black and white colors. The department noted that they started looking into the idea of an all-electric patrol car last year after seeing dismal reviews of available hybrid patrol cars. Captain Kirt Yoder, the agency’s project manager, noted that Tesla Kansas had been quite helpful. “I ended up contacting about ten agencies from New York to California. Tesla-Kansas City was great. They were eager to help and answer all our questions,” he said. Apart from being a green vehicle, the Model Y is also expected to give the Leawood Police Department substantial cost savings.
